For those times that you want to feel like a kid again and with back to school around the corner, Nike has brought back the Composition Notebook inspired kicks after last year’s Dunk High with this Air Max 90 and a Dunk Low. Both are premium models with the composition pattern on several panels and lined paper patterned on the white panels.

One of my favorite designers died this evening. The above pictured man is Yves Saint Laurent, the fashion visionary responsible for the re-emergence of the Dior brand after Dior's death in '57 and of course his namesake line still relevant and popular today. A truely remarkable man....he will be missed dearly.

Nike Dunk Hi "Olympic Octagon"

Nike released a flurry of Olympic themed dunks yesterday. Many of them with the Octagon incorporated some way into the design. The Octagon is important because the Beijing Summer Olympics start on 08-08-08. Of all the designs released these are my favs...Im a sucker for a good black shoe, this definitely fits the bill.

The original is back, take note you sheep. It used to be how the west goes.....the east follows. The east (Japan) has us beat on these, because over there Levi's are considered premium. These are part of the "2008 Fenom" collection which I believe to only be available in Japan. We are definitely seeing a revival here though, with the shrink to fit popularity. So hopefully with that rise in popularity we will be able to see more premium stock from the originator.
