Its Official, Mr. Bill Gates aka "Billy G" as Hov calls em, is truly retiring in 08. here is an exerpt from Yardena Arar's "PC World" article regarding Gates' future plans after retirement.

"I don't see a time in the future when I won't be chairman of this company," he said. "I see myself as always being the largest shareholder in Microsoft. Steve is the second largest, and I think we both take a lot of pride in that." Gates said he plans to devote more and more time to his role as chairman of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which he says "will have grown" significantly. The foundation is devoted to promoting innovation in global health and education.

In honor of the Glow in the Dark Tour featuring Kanye West, N*E*R*D, Lupe Fiasco and Rihanna, watch brand Nooka re-worked their Zub watch in a special Glow in the Dark finish. The watches were given as a gift to Kanye and company at the completion of the tour last Saturday in Los Angeles. The Zub watch is among the latest in popular watch styles which utilize more abstract time-telling methods with the use of changing LED bars to denote the time. (Shouts out to highsnobiety)

With only 15 of these watches produced I guess its pretty safe to say that I wont be able to get my hand on one of these exclusive time pieces by August 1st (Cincinatti Glow in the Dark). Its just not fair..........

Jodee Berry, 26, then a waitress at the Hooters in Panama City Beach, won a contest to see who could sell the most beer in April. Manager Jared Blair told waitresses that the contest was a regional promotion, according to the lawsuit, and that the top 10 waitresses from each restaurant would be entered in a drawing.

The person whose name was drawn would win a "new Toyota automobile," the lawsuit says Blair told them. In early May, Berry said, Blair told her she had won. "I couldn't believe that out of all the girls who were entered, I was the winner," Berry said. She was blindfolded and led to the restaurant parking lot. When the blindfold was removed, Berry wasn't looking at a new car, but a Yoda doll.

I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge this benchmark in American history. On June 3rd 2008, Barack Obama secured the position as the first black democratic nominee in U.S. history. Obama speaks of hope, promise, & striving for the unification of the american people through the awareness of our differences . I am very excited for the times that we are in. However, in the back of my mind still lies the question of, are we as a people ready for a black president? Fashion takes a major loss...RIP Yves Saint Laurent

One of my favorite designers died this evening. The above pictured man is Yves Saint Laurent, the fashion visionary responsible for the re-emergence of the Dior brand after Dior's death in '57 and of course his namesake line still relevant and popular today. A truely remarkable man....he will be missed dearly.
